Mmmmmm honestly not the best movie but not boring at all. I think the biggest flaw of this movie was that the lead actor wasn't Michael Jackson. I didn't come from that era of music but all I know about the king of pop is that he made girls faint left and right and would move like he was a spring, almost alien/machine like.
I mean the actor did a great job. I feel like I see his face now when I think of Michael Jackson, but that might be because I didn't really grow up listening to MJ.
The highlight of the movie was definitely Michael as a kid singing his heart out in the studio. That kid really killed it, he sounded just like Michael in the recordings. His movement and expressions really seemed authentic.
The movie had me looking up Michael's lore after. I didn't know that he had burned his head or had exotic pets - I wish they got into some of the weirder stuff that happened later in his career. I really enjoyed the acting of Joseph Jackson - he really did a good job portraying a cold father who simultaneously loves his family and is blinded by greed.
I think the coolest part about this movie is that someone from my high school was playing Tito Jackson. He actually had a couple of good lines in the movie too. Ryan Hill - good job ur making Torrance proud.
